A Bill For The Set-Up Of Indian Institute Of Petroleum & Energy In Vizaq

Soon to be a national asset, Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy has rolled up its sleeves to impart education of the highest stature and will get deep down into the heart of conventional hydrocarbons by conducting advanced research in various fields, mainly liquefied natural gas, biofuels and renewables.

Lok Sabha was the witness to this memorable occasion with the introduction of a bill by the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan to extend the reach of Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy in Andhra Pradesh under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.

“The syllabus of this highly valued institute would be very nutritive, carrying the most advanced programmes under its belt to power the Post-graduate and Doctoral level aspirants to deliver their excellence at every hour. It has been said because the institute is worth it and its students have recently proven the fact during the placement drive of 2016-17. A highest lucrative package of 29.76 lacs was offered. A total of 1,447 students reaped the fruits of their hard work and they will have the honor of rendering their services to companies of international repute like IBM, Infosys, KPIT, Nestle, Philip Carbon Black Limited, Shell, Sony, Tech Mahindra, among others.

And to give the same results in this financial capital of Andhra Pradesh the bill has drawn the lines for the smooth functioning of the university. It mentions that a board of governors will also have its say, along with the institute’s general council.
