CHANDIGARH: Reacting to the Chandigarh Administration’s decision to implement central service rules on Thursday, Dr Manoj Kumar, former general secretary of the Government College Teachers’ Association claimed that the notification says that it doesn’t apply to the employees working as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations.
“The college teachers in the city are clueless about whether a separate notification will be issued for them. If there is no need for separate notification, the administration should immediately provide all the benefits like UGC pay scales, arrears and leaves as per the UGC regulations on the central pattern,” he said.
Former Panjab University senator, Dr RPS Josh added, “ Similarly all the allowances on the central pattern should be given to the college teachers without any further delay.”
With the notification, there will be changes in the pay scales and service conditions of the UT employees.
