The campaign is intended to help youth from different parts of the country to interact with each other and learn about their customs, traditions, lifestyles and technological developments
Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is going to host 50 students and youth from Tripura under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ North East Yuva Sangam campaign. The students will be hosted by IIT Madras from 4 to 9 March 2023.
IIT Madras and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala have been identified as nodal institutes to host visits by a respective team of 50 students and youth from Tripura to Tamil Nadu and vice versa for a period of 5 to 6 days under this campaign.
The campaign is built around the idea of pairing different States and Union Territories with the northeast states. This pairing will help youth from different parts of the country to interact with each other and learn about their customs, traditions, lifestyles and technological developments.
This visit to Tamil Nadu would be an enriching experience for the visiting students from Tripura. Similarly, 50 students and youth from Tamil Nadu will visit Tripura from 13 March 2023 for five days.
The visit by the youth of both States will promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge and skills between the paired states. The idea of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is inspired by the vision of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a pivotal role in the integration of the country post-independence.
