Dr Ajit Prasad, Director of the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, passed away on October 31, 2018, at around 3.30 PM. He was admitted to the SGPGIMS Lucknow for over two weeks. Prof. Prasad was in a critical condition and was on life support since then. He succumbed to massive heart attack. He was aged about 61 years. IIM Lucknow stated, “It is with profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad demise of our Director – Prof. Ajit Prasad around 03:30 p.m. on October 31, 2018.” Prof. Prasad had joined IIM Lucknow as Director on November 2, 2015. Prior to joining IIM Lucknow, he was a Professor of Strategy at SPJIMR Mumbai.Prof. Prasad was an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi School of Economics and International Management Institute, he had a rich experience in the government, industry and academia.It is with great sadness that we inform about the passing away of our beloved Director, Dr. Ajit Prasad, a remarkable academician with a profound legacy.The void cannot be filled and the entire fraternity of IIM Lucknow would miss his presence and may his soul rest in peace. pic.twitter.com/RAm23uNUnk
