HRD Ministry Launches 5 Documents Covering 5 Verticals of Quality Mandate

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Human Resource Development Minister, has launched five documents developed by UGC covering five verticals of quality mandate here on Thursday.

A release by the officials mentioned that these five documents cover evaluation reforms, sustainable and ecofriendly university campuses, human values and professional ethics, academic research integrity, and faculty induction.

Speaking on occasion, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said UGC has now adopted the Higher Education Quality Improvement Programme Mandate to improve the quality of education in Higher Educational Institutions.

The release said that quality mandate aims at evolving a higher education system to equip the country’s next-generation with vital skills, ethics, and knowledge for leading a rewarding life.

The minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that student evaluation plays a crucial role in improving the Quality of higher education in the country.

The release said to make student assessment more productive, meaningful, and linked to ‘Learning Outcomes,’ the report ‘Evaluation Reforms in Higher Educational Institutions in India’ is very beneficial and timely for Higher Education Institutions.
