The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Thursday announced provisional answer keys of maths, biology, chemistry and physics subjects of GujCET exams conducted on April 3. The board also announced grace marks to students for mistakes in question papers from all language mediums.
The Gujarati medium students will get one grace mark for a mistake in physics question paper, and three marks for mistakes in biology question paper. English medium students have been given one grace mark each for physics and chemistry subjects and two marks for mistakes in biology question papers. The Hindi medium students will get one grace mark in physics and two grace marks in biology for mistakes in questions.
The board statement said that any student who has a query related to the provisional answer keys can approach the board till April 18 through email. Students will have to pay Rs 500 per query and if the student’s doubt is substantiated then the student will be refunded the amount.
Recently, the GSHSEB also announced that Class 12 science stream English and Hindi medium students get one grace mark in physics subject while students from all mediums will get one mark in chemistry subject. The final exams of Class 10 and 12 that began from March 14 got over on March 29.
The grace marks have been given for mistakes in MCQ sections in the question papers of these subjects. The board said that in the physics Gujarati medium question paper there were two mistakes in MCQs and one mistake in all language medium chemistry question papers for which the board has given the grace marks.
