G20 meet: 100 stalls to come up at exhibition on Future of Work


Bhubaneswar: More than 100 stalls will come up at the exhibition on Future of Work on the sidelines of the 3rd Education Working Group meeting under the G20 presidency to be held in the city. The exhibition will start from April 23 and continue till April 28. It will showcase the need for acquiring new skills and knowledge as a result of the fast-evolving world.
The ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship and the ministry of education are organizing this exhibition at CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT), Bhubaneswar. Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate it.
It will be open from 10 AM to 9 PM. On April 26, the exhibition will be accessible only by the G20 delegates. More than 100 exhibitors from India and G20 member countries will demonstrate their products, publications, artefacts, and other promotional materials in the exhibition.
The exhibitors will showcase the impact of technology across priority sectors such as agriculture, automotive, retail, healthcare, media and future of skills using immersive technology, interactive walls, Holographic displays and others.
Visitors can find Metaverse-augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) based solutions and experiences, reverse engineering and automated design solutions, drone technology along with live demos, ed-tech solutions leveraging AR/VR and experiential learning product demos and 3D models displaying rich heritage.
The exhibition will showcase applied and action learning labs for industry 4.0 skills, vernacular learning-based tech solutions, virtual internship solutions, immersive tech learning solutions, assistive technology and tactile display for inclusion along with live demo of assistive technology innovation.
The organisers are setting up a unique Future of Work Experience Zone. Objective of this showcase is that youths can get to know how the Future of work will evolve by getting a preview of the required advanced technical skills and softer transferable skills at this experience zone, said official sources.
