Students and staff of the institute paid homage to Biju Babu on the occasion of observation of his 21st Death Anniversary on April 17,2018. An effigy of Biju Babu will be placed in KISS premises, where effigy of great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Swami Vivekananda, Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Gautam Buddha, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, Madhusudhan Das are placed.
Awe-inspiring speech by the Founder
In the remembrance, the founder of the KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta delivered a resplendent speech where he talked about his ideology and his role in India’s freedom moment. Biju Babu always said that quality education can break the shackles of intergenerational poverty. The formula of providing education free of cost in the capital city where the marginalized get an opportunity to become changemakers was ideated by Biju Patnaik. The Government of Odisha has named several institutions after the name of Biju Patnaik. Apart from the founders, there were other congenial personalities like the CEO , Shri Surjakant Mohanty, COO Dr. P.K. Das and the Director Shri Rabi Behera that were present and paid tribute to Biju Babu.
