Businesses around are shaping themselves to pace with the fast progressing world and india is no exception to it. The Management Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses (MPEFB), held by IIM-B faculty at the NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), has a new touch of class. This 11th edition of MPEFB will see the use of technology, mainly MOOCs or to say Massive Open Online Courses offered on IIMBx which will be way different from the previously held programmes which were held in the campus. The curriculum for the Management Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses focuses on the self-paced methodology of the IIMBx MOOCs. The online version of this programme will mainly aid the participants to have a better understanding, interact with their counterparts, teaching faculty to clear doubts and focus on certain concepts and ideas which are to be taken up for every module. The various subjects that will be an important part of the curriculum are Managerial Accounting, Entrepreneurship & New Venture Creation, Data Analysis and Decision Making, Marketing Management, Organizational Behaviour & HR Management, Financial Management, Operations Management and Strategic Management.
While one out of five modules of the programme will be delivered through a MOOC, the other modules will be forwarded during classroom learning at the IIMB campus.
IIM-BANGALORE TAKES THE INITIATIVE
MOOC is a unique structure of forwarding educational matter with the help of online medium for all. Each learning sequence includes tutorial videos along with interactive learning exercises for strengthening the participants concepts learnt from the videos.
The tutorial videos have online discussion forums to give the participants an opportunity to post and review questions and comments to each other and teaching assistants. There are check points where participants can check their progress with respect to topics covered.
