The not for profit NIIT University (NU) declared the appointment of Dr. Prabhu Aggarwal as the next President of NU. He supersedes Prof VS Rao, whose term ended on 30th June 2020. NIIT University was established with the vision to bring about innovation in higher education and to deliver distinctive education through the pioneering use of technology.
About Dr. Prabhu Aggarwal, president NIIT University
Dr. Aggarwal has all-encompassing expertise in the fields of engineering, process, management, education, and leadership development spread over 3 decades. An important part of that was at the Mason School of Business, College of William & Mary, Virginia, the USA. Also, at the College of William Mary, he conducted the center for professional development programs for working professionals particularly.
He is a graduate from IIT Kanpur with a major in Mechanical Engineering. Later he went to the University of Washington, Seattle, the USA for pursing his MBA and Ph.D. in Operations Management.
After his return to India in 2012, he served as the VC of OP Jindal University (Rajgarh). After that as Academic Advisor to the National Rail and Transportation Institute, among other services.
