Delhi University, DU will be conducting a meeting with its academic council to decide the syllabus for the four-year undergraduate programme, FYUP curriculum. As per inputs, DU’s Academic Council is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, to decide the syllabi for the second semester.
In the last meeting conducted by Delhi University’s Academic Council, several resolutions were put forth by the standing committee regarding the FYUP curriculum for second-semester students. These resolutions are expected to be addressed at the November 22 meeting.
As per a report by PTI, DU’s Academic Council will be discussing the syllabi of around 100 undergraduate courses, such as BA Business Economics (Hons), BA Multi-Media and Mass Communication (Hons), BSc Electronic Science (Hons) and BSc Microbiology (Hons).
If the FYUP curriculum is approved by the Academic Council, the matter will then be presented to Delhi University’s Executive Council, which is the top decision-making body of the varsity. The syllabus for the first-semester students under FYUP was approved at the starting of this year by DU.
For the academic year of 2022 to 2023, DU implemented the FYUP system once again through the Undergraduate Curriculum Framework 2022. The UGCF 2022 was a framework created for higher education in India based on the recommendations made by National Education Policy, NEP 2020.
Delhi University has already begun the classes for first-semester students on November 2, 2022. The second semester is expected to begin in March 2023, as per the DU academic calendar. This year, DU admitted students based on their CUET UG 2022 scores.
