Will reduce financial burden on the parents
Parents of those pursuing professional courses like BTech, MTech, MCA, MBA are usually facing the burden of course fees. At times either their dreams to get their children are even trashed after being unable to afford the same or have to struggle throughout the duration of the course to manage the fee in time.
The Good News
Thus, some good news for those students who are enrolled in engineering and management courses in government and private colleges across the state. The students pursuing these courses will now have to pay less fee. Yes, you read it right, the state government has decrease the fee in some courses of all engineering and management colleges by Rs5,000-Rs7,000.
The Revised Fees
In keeping with the directions of the minister, the state-level fee committee decided to reduce the fee of some engineering and management courses by Rs5,000-7,000.
1. Presently the course fee MI, MTech, BTech and BArch is Rs77,000 and it will now be Rs70,000 per year.
2. Similarly the fee for MBA and MCA has been reduced to Rs55,000 from Rs60,500 per year.
The students of MTech, ME, BTech, MCA, MBA and BArch will get the benefit of the government’s announcement. The higher and technical education minister Kiran Maheshwari had given directions to reduce the fee of engineering and management courses. This was done not only to make these courses more attractive but also ensure the welfare of students. This will surely go a long way by pulling-off a little burden from shoulders of their parents.
How Did it Happen
In November 2016, a government-appointed committee paved the way for fee regulation at the national level. It had recommended a ceiling on the tuition fee charged by all private institutions for technical courses such as MBA and engineering.
