The future of the world beholds in the hands of the youth of today and for that quality education needs to be inculcated in them.Competition stays at its peak on the educational system in the world; it is not only on the higher levels i.e.; among the countries but on the lower levels as well. There has been rapid growth in the educational sector, especially since the past few years. Certainly, the future of the world beholds in the hands of the youth of today and for that quality education needs to be inculcated in them. And yes the future of the countries individually also lands in the hands of today’s youth.According to some of the statistics; in 2018, the rankings of the top five countries included Canada, Japan, Israel, Korea, and the United Kingdom. While, according to one of the surveys in 2018, there have been variations and improvements and the following countries are ranked as the top five countries which provide the best education globally. This survey was, however, based on criteria including attributes like the well-developed public education system, approach towards education and curriculum, pedagogy skills and a few more. Based on this survey these are the top 5 countries for education.                  

No. 5: FranceThe French educational system is the one which is very organized and highly centralized, which probably helps to make it up to the top five. It is divided into the three stages namely- Enseignement Primaire (primary education), Enseignement Secondaire (secondary education), and Enseignement Supérieur(higher education). The basic structure of education in France is lead by a national curriculum which is mandatory from ages 6 through 16. Most of the students here attend a form of preschool and many moves on to higher education.

Each state decides its own educational policy that is why the system varies throughout Germany. German secondary education includes five types of schools namely- The Gymnasium, Hauptschule, Abitur, The Realschule, and Mittlere Reife. It is free or of very little charge in over 100 institutions of higher learning in Germany. Students are usually judged through the examinations held and if they are qualified. Duale Ausbildung which is a special system of an apprenticeship allows pupils on vocational courses to do in-service training in a company as well as at a state school. No. 3: CanadaThe third on the list is Canada. Education in Canada is also funded by the federal, provincial, and local governments. Education here is, for the most part, provided publically. The curriculum is overseen by the province and lies within provincial jurisdiction. Education in Canada is divided into three stages namely primary education, secondary education, and post-secondary education.

The educational programs are administered by the district school boards who lie within the provinces under the ministry of education. Education is compulsory up to the age of 16 in every province, except for Manitoba, Ontario, and New Brunswick, where the compulsory age is 18, or as soon as a high school diploma has been achieved. Although in some provinces early leaving exemptions can be granted under certain circumstances at 14.  No. 2: United StatesThe second-ranking is given to the United States. Education here is provided by public schools, private schools, and home schools. The funding of the schools is generally by the state, local and federal government. According to the stats, in 2013, nearly 87% of the school-age children attended the schools funded by the state, about 10% attended the private schools which were tuition- and foundation-funded, and approximately 3% were home-schooled.

The education system of the US spends more per student than any other country. In 2014, US education was rated as 14th best in the world the Pearson/Economist Intelligence Unit. While in 2015, U.S. high school students were rated No. 40 globally in Math and No. 24 in Science and Reading; by the Program for International Student Assessment. Holding the residence of the eight of the top 10 Best Global Universities; in US 70 percent of graduating students proceed further to higher education.  No. 1: United KingdomThe United Kingdom is the residence of the two of the top 10 Best Global Universities. The education system of the United Kingdom is divided into four major parts (or the four key stages); which include primary education, secondary education, further education, and higher education. Children in the UK have to legally attend primary and secondary education which works from 5 years old until the student is 16 years old. Assessment of the Students is done at the end of each stage.

The most important stage is when the student hits the age of 16 and he pursues the GCSE or General Certificate of Secondary Education. At this stage, they are given a choice, either to go onto their further education and then proceed for higher education or finish school and go into the working environments. Probably, because of these processes, the United Kingdom has been rated the topmost in this list.
