As per a report of the committee, some institutes have been proposed
for the status of special institutions. These Institututes are :-
- IIM- Ahmedabad

- ICAR Delhi
A separate program should be established with different goals and expectations and should be given the status of Special Institutions to these institutes the committee recommended to the government.
It was also observed by the committee that all private universities have a vision of funding their future excellence with new revenues like alumni contributions, research grants, raising funds, as the current operations of the private institutions are more or less dependent upon student fees. The committee said that the universities could increase the student’s fees and still struggle to invest in excellence if their revenue sources are not diversified.
