Government Plan To Let Foreign Universities Enter India Raises Concerns

Despite four rounds of the admission process, only over 75 percent of seats have been filled in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) of the Indore district and as the allotment list for the fourth round of College level Counselling (CLC) was declared on Monday, students now have the window of five days till August 5 to get admission.
Of around 70000 seats in the Indore district, 90 percent of seats at the government colleges have been filled, around 80 percent of minority college seats have been filled and over 60 percent of the private colleges have also been filled till Monday.

In government colleges around 90 percent of seats have been filled. However, there are still vacant seats in private colleges, therefore, there are high chances of getting another round of college-level counseling as many seats are still vacant in colleges, especially in Indore division, there are around 45000 seats vacant in colleges,” additional director of Indore’s Higher Education Department, Dr. Suresh Silawat told TOI.
